Paul Ryan's attendance of Joe Biden's inauguration shows he has what it takes to reach across the aisle
Former House Speaker Paul Ryan will be attending the presidential inauguration of Joe Biden on Jan. 20, an aide to Ryan said.
“The peaceful transition of power is a hallmark of American democracy, and that's why Speaker Ryan feels it is important to attend,” said Kevin Seifert, an aide to Ryan, the former Wisconsin congressman, 2012 GOP vice presidential nominee and speaker of the House from 2015 to 2019.
Ryan is attending at the invitation of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies.
